Then deleted all Evolution files from user home directories .cache, .config, .gconf, .local and emptied user spool files in /var/spool/mail.
I'd rather die fighting lions than being trampled by geese. This is a fresh install. To get Evolution reading the spool mailbox again I simply use Linux mail to delete the message that caused the problem, then Evolution is happy. This worked a treat for me, thanks for the info....
Create a new inbox that was empty. Poking around various bug trackers did suggest that there have also been problems with some of the metadata files. Are you using vfolders? and i think i can configure my way past this. I saw https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=213072 but it says it's fixed (which is not, for me, at least). Bookmark the permalink.
